It is frighteningly easy to miss the point of living this wild and precious life. Some of us started our healing journey not from a recent trauma but a nagging symptom that we couldn’t ignore anymore - an unshakable anxiety that drained us or inexplicable dissatisfaction that made us mad or sad. Symptoms show up in a myriad of ways - from our physical health or even in our children, such as eating disorders or depression.
We are not only preoccupied with not wanting to appear as “losers” at all costs but are also exerting ourselves to exhaustion to attain whatever level of success or prestige our family and peers deem acceptable. Much of our focus in adulthood has become what success looks like in society.
Hence the point of living is unconsciously missed while our quiet desperation grimly continues.
Great philosophers, psychologists, poets, writers and Buddha are extraordinary helpful guides. Even their quotes can often enlighten us to live a life that truly belongs to us. At the minimum, their wisdom is powerful enough to lift us out of our unconscious and teach us how to live a much better life. All it requires is introspection.
Our human brains need repeated reminders to forge a new way of thinking or living, and it is thus the backdrop of Healing Pillow and Homeware.
